While our doors are not yet open, we are excited to share our vision with you and invite you to join us on this inspiring and exciting journey!
Our vision is to create a unique, faith based, one-room school experience where children thrive in learning their foundational academics in the morning, and their hands-on, outdoor learning in the afternoon. Children will be immersed in nature, learning the homesteading skills of gardening and agriculture, preservation, crafting and skills, and other sustainable trades and practices. We are prepared to offer a supportive and nurturing environment that helps children grow intellectually and spiritually with a back to basics approach to learning.
Our model school, The Little Red Schoolhouse in Dinwiddie, Virginia displays exceptional academic scholars, fluent readers far beyond their same aged peers who attend traditional schooling, while also embodying confidence, work ethic, self sufficiency skills, and most importantly, the love of Jesus.
During the first few years, Freedom Academy will be located at
70 Main Street in Oxford Massachusetts in Zion Lutheran Church.
We will be implementing our unique school model at this pilot location. Starting our school at this pilot location allows us to immediately serve the community by opening our doors this coming school year (September 2025) with the hope and intention of building a one-room schoolhouse for our permanent school location. Our pilot location allows us easy access to a safe outdoor area where we are able to continue with our homesteading teachings.
