Patti Benvenuti brings decades of experience, wisdom, and heart to Freedom Academy. A life long educator, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Patti spent many years teaching in both public and private school settings, where she became known for her nurturing approach and her ability to connect deeply with students and families. She also was a Director of a private preschool.
Now a proud grandmother, Patti’s passion for education has only grown—especially as she sees the need for schools that focus on character, curiosity, and a Christ-centered foundation. Her vision for Freedom Academy was inspired not only by her professional experience but also by her desire to see her grandchildren—and all children—thrive in an environment that upholds timeless values and academic excellence.
As co-founder and educational consultant, Patti brings a multigenerational perspective, a steady hand, and a joyful spirit to the heart of Freedom Academy. Her legacy in education continues to grow as she helps guide the next generation of learners and leaders.
With six years of experience teaching in public schools across grades 1–3, Gina Furmanick brings both passion and expertise to Freedom Academy. She holds a Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education and is deeply committed to nurturing young learners through hands-on, developmentally appropriate instruction rooted in strong academic foundations.
Gina’s journey in education has been shaped by her desire to offer more than the conventional classroom could provide. She believes that children thrive best when they are grounded in truth, guided with love, and given the freedom to learn in an environment that honors their God-given potential. After witnessing the increasing challenges and limitations in public education, she felt a clear calling to build something better; an environment where curiosity is celebrated, values are lived out daily, and every child is known and loved.
That vision became Freedom Academy—a back-to-basics, faith-based school that partners with families to raise up confident, capable, and compassionate children. At Freedom Academy, Gina leads with purpose, conviction, and a heart for shaping not just strong students, but strong character.
